Pushing Margins is partnering with The Pacific Center to host a series of workshops throughout the year. The first one will be lead by activist artist and local filmmaker Shani Heckman on Thursday, October 17th from 4-6pm.
Pushing Margins is hosting an Information Session for anyone interested in learning more about the camp. There will be snacks, mingling, and a panel discussion about the origins and future of Pushing Margins.
Camp will take place from July 8th-13th at the Mills College School of Education (5000 MacArthur Blvd), with a final art exhibition and poetry reading on Saturday, July 13th from 5-7pm. Throughout the week, campers will explore their identity through visual art and writing. Each day, students will also take a queer art history class and participate in an empowerment workshop.
